This project aims to contribute to the national efforts undertaken by the Republic of Moldova and Romania and included in national policy documents covering areas such as ICT infrastructure, civil protection, disaster risk management, international cooperation in the field of emergencies and disaster management.
The project was also designed and aligned with the operational objectives of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, which include providing humanitarian aid and protection to vulnerable populations affected by man-made crises or natural disasters and to support strategies ao complement strategies the enable communities and local institutions to better prepare, mitigate and respond appropriately to natural disasters by improving their coping and response capabilities, thereby increasing resilience and reducing vulnerability.
